Why We Love It: This Mission meeting place starts with traditional items you’d expect to find at any bakery, and then just explodes them into new ideas. A sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich becomes an asiago and sausage-filled croissant muffin wrapped around a soft-cooked egg. The typical hot dog is reimagined as the haute dog: an all-beef frank nestled in a crunchy mustard-seed croissant bun and topped with salt-and-vinegar beet chips. Chef William Werner has a big imagination. Happily, we have big appetites.
