La Victoria Bakery
Last Updated October 31, 2014
Why We Love It: The pan dulce. La Victoria opened in 1951, as the only Latino-owned business on 24th street. Over the last six decades, the bakery has become a much-loved, stalwart darling of the Mission district, marked by its legendary windows filled with both unusual and classic Mexican pastries: dulce de leche scones, prickly pear beignets, and the iconic pan dulce. Moderation is not recommended.
